Cute (hollowed back version) Portrait of Rose Beuret. Bronze proof with black patina shaded green, signed twice, Alexis Rudier Fondeur, Paris and bears the museum"s relief stamp under the base. Height without the base: 40 cm Model created in 1870 and cast around 1917 Jérôme Le Blay kindly informed us that: according to the elements currently at our disposal, we know that Rodin had at least five proofs carried out between 1912 and 1917 by the Alexis foundry Rudier, in particular for the purposes of a gift to members of the family of his wife Rose Beuret.
